The SMA EV Charger Business is SMA's AC charging station for commercial charging infrastructure, from a single wallbox to parks with many charging points. Each charger provides two Type 2 charging points — as sockets or with fixed 6 m cables — delivering up to 22 kW (max. 32 A three-phase, 230/400 V AC) per charging point in Mode 3 according to IEC 61851-1. Calibration-law-compliant ECC versions with a billing-grade energy meter and 4G modem are available for public charging and third-party billing.

Integrated dynamic charging load control, a 6 mA DC residual current detection and a type A RCD per charging point come as standard, in an IP54/IK08 enclosure for wall or pedestal mounting. Via OCPP 1.6 JSON, RFID authorization (MIFARE DESFire), EEBUS and Ethernet, the charger integrates into charging backends, the SMA eMobility Portal and the SMA Data Manager M — enabling solar-powered charging within the SMA commercial energy system.
